So nice to meet you!
I grew up in a cheerful yellow house tucked into a tiny country town in California, where my dad managed to cram an entire orchard and veggie garden onto half an acre. We spent our days picking fruit, catching sticky tree frogs, and making bouquets out of whatever was blooming. Somewhere between the dirt under my nails and the frogs in my pockets, I fell in love with creating.
Thankfully, my mom fanned that spark—she let me paint to my heart’s content, including a giant carrot on my bedroom wall that spanned the length of my queen-sized headboard.
Now I live in the mountains of California with my husband and our two teenage kids. I teach Art at our sweet little charter school and spend my other hours illustrating tiny wonders. I’ve dabbled in all kinds of art, but my heart belongs to storytelling through pictures. I adore working with authors, getting to know their characters, and bringing their worlds to life. Collaboration is my jam. There’s something magical about translating heart-visions into color and line—it never stops feeling like a bit of everyday enchantment.
I love collaborating! I think one of the sweetest parts of illustrating is working together as a team to bring your vision to life. Hearing your feedback is essential to helping set the stage of your story. It's my greatest joy when I hear the story-teller say, "YES! That's it!"
And I'm here to help the world see it.
